The Oakland County Board of Commissioners (BOC) sought to boost citizen engagement and increase awareness of new and existing programs. King Media used Facebook’s precise targeting capabilities to serve specific ads to each Oakland County Commissioner’s district. Each district had two sets of ads: one to drive residents to sign up for their commissioner’s e-newsletter and another to raise awareness about a prescription discount program. King Media designed the images that accompanied the 42 individual ads, along with the link text and post copy that encouraged residents to take action. The six-week campaign served more than 1.35 million impressions, received nearly 25,000 ad clicks and increased Facebook page likes by 70%.
