King Media’s New Strategic Partnership with Bruce Madej Brings PR, Crisis Communication Expertise

EAST LANSING, Mich. – King Media is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Bruce Madej, former Associate Athletic Director for Special Projects in the University of Michigan Athletic Department and the longest-serving Sports Information Director in the history of U-M Athletics. Bruce now adds his expertise in public relations and crisis communication to the agency’s specialties.

As the head of public relations and spokesperson for the U-M Athletic Department, Bruce oversaw the successful Heisman Trophy campaigns for Desmond Howard and Charles Woodson, and was responsible for adopting cutting-edge technology and new media strategies. His talents in public relations, leadership and writing earned him numerous awards, including the College Sports Information Directors Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. He also handled social media, feature/blog writing and other special projects. Most notably, he worked with design groups to develop the written and interactive content for the $95 million Crisler Center and Schembechler Hall Museum renovations.
