Last week, I attended the international PR News Nonprofit PR Awards ceremony held at the historic National Press Club in Washington, D.C. I had the honor of attending because our work for the Greater Lansing Housing Coalition made the finals for two very important categories: Branding/Rebranding and Marketing. Thousands of campaigns from all over the world were entered and, as finalists, we were among some very large, well-known, established firms. We received Honorable Mention in both categories, and I could not be more proud of our accomplishment. Getting recognized at this level was a tremendous honor for my team at King Media. Having our work presented to an audience comprising more than 100 international firms was breathtaking and reaffirmed the high quality of all the work we do for our clients.
I have never anticipated much in award shows, as I prefer to focus on creating real results for my clients. But I have to admit, this was a great experience and we will submit future work in recognition of my talented team’s hard work. Very few Michigan firms were even nominated, with no other firms present from mid-Michigan. As of 7:30 this morning, we’re back at work doing more great work for our clients – give us a call if you need a team to get excited about YOUR project.
