King Media extends our sincerest condolences to the entire Rodeman family.
Family, friends and firefighters from across the nation paid final respects to their fallen comrade on September 16th, 2015. The seven year veteran of the Lansing Fire Department left behind wife, Katie, and an unborn child.
The community was stunned as the news rippled throughout the greater Lansing area and beyond. For those of us who call this area home, we have seen our community rally behind people in times of need, hardship and tragedy just like this.
People who rise to the occasion to help others often enlist community leaders to lend a helping hand. Williams Auto World has been a part of the fiber of the Lansing community for three decades and the Williams family has quietly supported many charities in greater Lansing. Partnering with other local businesses to show support for a fallen member of our community was an easy decision to make.
On Tuesday, October 6th, Katie Rodeman, wife of Dennis Rodeman, will receive a new 2016 Forester with a 3 year lease compliments of Williams Subaru, 3 years of scheduled maintenance compliments of Subaru of America and over $3,500 of automobile insurance over a 3 year period from local Lansing insurance company owner, Paul Rathbun, of Rathbun Insurance. Mrs. Rodeman will be presented her new transportation at Williams Subaru at 2:00pm, located at 2845 East Saginaw Avenue, Lansing, Michigan, on the eve of her birthday.
While nothing can change the tragic events that took her husband’s life, this giving and helping community we call home is doing what it can to provide safe transportation for soon-to-be-mother and wife of a Lansing hero that lost his life while trying to help others.
